This is a rare Pinotage for the select few. Only eight hundred and eighty-eight bottles produced each vintage and are individually numbered.
Full bodied red wine. Fruit driven food wine.
A dense, full-fruited and powerful wine, the bouquet is loaded with ripe, brambly berry and plum aromas that are hit with complementary notes of black pepper and a touch of cocoa powder. The palate is plush and decadent, with superb balance between the supple yet structured tannins, ample acidity and bold black-fruit flavours.
Soil: Low yielding, well drained vertical shale/schist

Grapes were night harvested and picked by hand to retain flavours.
Grapes were hand picked at night. A 56 hours cold maceration period was given prior to fermentation. Pigeage took place 3 times per day to extract tannin and colour. Skins were pressed at 5°B. MLF took place in barrels. Matured for 22 months in 66% new and 34% 2nd fill French oak barrels. A strict selection of 3 barrels.
10 to 12 Years after vintage.
Recommended to be served at 17°C.
